Nutrition and Health programs:
37,325 meals provided to low-income residents in the mission district and other targetedcommunities

29,320 meal deliveries to seniors that are chronically and terminally ill.

Health and nutritional status screenings for homebound seniors

2,012 food boxes distributed to seniors and immigrant families to supplement their nutrition needs.

Bi-annual comprehensive health history assessments and referrals for uninsured families

Monthly nutrition and health education presentations.

Transportation assistance:
Transportation available, either on a group or individual basis, for medical visits, social day care activities, and grocery shopping assistance

Bi-lingual Assitance:
Esl/citizenship class instruction; US citizenship application assistance

Bi-lingual and culturally competent case worker assistance for the acquisition of social security, medi-cal benefits and general assistance

Application completion assistance in obtaining government subsidized housing, food stamps, and other support services.

Issues Impacting Elderly Women:
Monthly Las Madrinas (womens auxillary)meetings to address issues impacting elderly women, as well as to organize and implement fundraising projects.
